Facilities Technician

Our Client is looking for a Facilities Technician to join it's already successful team. The role will require versatility and a strong work ethic. A good level of fitness is essential to be able to carry out high levels of manual work inside and outside in all weather conditions including sometimes working at heights. This role requires a hard working individual with a proactive approach to produce high quality work in a timely manner. You must have a positive and flexible can do' attitude and wiliness to take ownership and responsibility. Must have a Full Clean Driving License.

Main responsibilities are to carry out general and routine maintenance tasks, basic repairs including landscaping & groundwork. Ensuring the grounds kept clear of debris, comfortable using chainsaws and similar tools a must.

Essential
Building Maintenance and Repairs
Grounds Maintenance
Standard UK Driving Licence

Desirable
Health and Safety qualification
Forklift Counterbalance Certificate

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
Practical Maintenance Skills and ability to carry out basic repairs/maintenance.
Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation
Ability to work effectively on own initiative with minimum supervision
Working in a Facilities maintenance environment
Ability to drive vehicles up to 3.5 ton (including electric vehicle, Ford Connex Van,
Flatbed Lorry, Road Sweeper)

Desirable
Ability to manage difficult situations
Traffic Management experience
Knowledge of Building Services

Working hours - Monday to Friday 8am-4pm - potential of overtime paid at time and a half.
