FLT Driver

Working in partnership with Peel Ports in Liverpool we are recruiting for FLT Driver for its busy stevedore operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an Employer of Choice that offers career progression, training opportunities and flexible hours!

Shift pattern / Working hours

(Up to) 12-hour shifts, Days + Nights available dependent on vessel traffic.

Shifts starts are 07:00 for days and 19:00 for nights.

Job description

• As an FLT Driver you will be involved in the movement of cargo on and off ships at Liverpool docks. FLT cargo is primarily steel and comes in the form of coils, scaffolding, plate, and rebar.
• Full training will be given through “on the job” partnering with our experienced training team and through classroom sessions.
• Sticking to clear safety and quality standards to ensure cargo is moved safely and efficiently
• Opportunity to develop –further training available for the right people!
• General housekeeping duties.

The successful candidate:

• Will ideally be flexible to work across days and nights depending on vessel times  
• Either Part Time or Full Time.
• Committed, team player with a keen eye for safety.
• Reliable with good timekeeping.
• Some previous experience as an FLT Driver or plant operator is necessary due to the cargo being handled.
• Scope for refreshers for candidates with existing or expired plant licenses.
