We are pleased to offer opportunities for heavy fork lift truck operatives based in Liverpool, we provide excellent additional training and can offer a career within the Ports industry.
The Job Role:
Primarily based in Liverpool
Other opportunities as a fork lift truck operative
Transporting heavy steel commodities from quayside to warehouse
Handling Coiled Steel, Re bar, H-Beam and other heavy metal commodities
Willingness to work other operational roles as required
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained throughout all operations
Shift times are usually 12 hours nights and days operating Monday to Sunday

The Successful candidate:

Experience essential as a Heavy FLT Driver/Fork lift truck
Experience working as FLT Driver/Fork lift truck operative
Experience in handling heavy steel cargo
Highly H&S conscious
Flexible approach to work
Willingness to support operational needs as required
Slinger banksman experience is desirable but not essential
Previous experience working in a port environment or heavy industrial environment is desirable but not essential

All our workers undergo initial assessment to working in a ports environment, this includes FLT /Fork lift truck assessments by our accredited trainers. We ensure you are fully knowledgeable of your environment as your first step to working within Ports.

For candidates who can demonstrate experience of a FLT/Fork lift truck, an assessment can be provided with a refresher course/ assessment.
