We are currently recruiting for Loading Shovel Drivers to join our ships gangs working for an award winning Port in Immingham.
This is a great opportunity with excellent training for an experienced Shovel Driver or someone with plant experience keen to pursue a career within the Shipping Industry.

Job Role:

Operating Loading Shovels to discharge Ships
Working within a shed environment to move product
Completing all paperwork to record correct cargo is discharged and loaded correctly
Loading hoppers
Working within vessels
Accurately recording cargo details
Ensuring H&S at all times
Communicating effectively to crane drivers, tug drivers and port operatives

The Successful Candidate:

H&S conscious at all times
Good attention to detail
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Evidence or previous experience operating a loading shovel; expired licences will be accepted as refreshers can be provided
Previous experience in a port role is advantageous but not essential e.g. Port operative, tug driver, slinger banksman, reach stacker, pinner, tally man, bobcat, bagger
Previous experience of working within vessel is advantageous but not essential, we are keen to talk to candidates with a port background, construction background or demolition back ground.
