We are pleased to offer unique opportunities for those with stevedore experience to join our team of port operatives based primarily in Liverpool, we provide excellent additional training and offer an ongoing career within the Ports industry, we are recruiting to support our port operations.

The Job Role:

In this exciting and varied role you will carry out cargo operations including the unloading and stowing of cargo.
Experience essential
Working as a stevedore to discharge heavy steel and dry bulk commodities from quayside to warehouse
Handling Coiled Steel, Re bar, H-Beam, dry bulk and other heavy metal commodities
Willingness to work other operational roles as required
Slinger /banksman experience preferred
Experience operating heavy plant is desired
For candidates who can demonstrate plant experience an assessment can be provided with a refresher course/ assessment
Shift times are usually 12 hours nights and days operating Monday to Sunday

The Successful candidate:
Experience essential
Slinger /banksman experience preferred
Experience operating heavy plant is desired
Experience in handling heavy steel cargo
Highly H&S conscious
Flexible approach to work
Willingness to support operational needs as required
Slinger banksman experience is desirable but not essential
Previous experience working in a port environment or heavy industrial environment is desirable but not essential
