The Job Role:
Working as Tug Driver to transport and discharge commodities from Quayside to Warehouse
Tug driver/HGV duties
Operating other plant as required
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained throughout all operations
Shift times are usually 12 hours nights and days operating Monday to Sunday
The Successful candidate:
Tug/HGV Experience essential
Experience working with Maffi, Terberg , goose neck or bath tub would be an advantage
Experience in handling containers
Shunter experience
Highly H&S conscious
Flexible approach to work
Willingness to support operational needs as required
Slinger banksman experience is desirable but not essential
Previous experience working in a port environment or heavy industrial environment is desirable but not essential
All our workers undergo initial assessment to working in a ports environment, this includes Tug/ HGV assessments by our accredited trainers.
We ensure you are fully knowledgeable of your environment as your first step to working within Ports.
For candidates who can demonstrate experience Tug or HGV experience can be provided with a refresher courses / assessment.
